I am so excited to be part of the JustNick Design Team this term!! Nicole’s cut files are amazing…so diverse, fun and creative…there is no end to what can be imagined with these files.
For my first project, I decided to use an older photo of Jordan; this was taken about twenty years ago. I love how he and the bear are sharing a secret story in this pic…just adorable. Jordan recently moved two provinces away…that’s far in terms of Canada’s geography. If I hopped in a car to drive to him, it’s thirty hours one way. I’m pretty sad…we have always lived nearby each other. So the theme of this layout and the private journaling on the back are about staying close, no matter how far we might be away from each other physically. We miss him already, but we will visit as much as we can and Skype lots.
Now for the cut files (all the heart eyes inserted here). I loooove the Aztec Print Background file and paired it with Cactus Jack to embellish the layout. Cacti are definitely a popular motif in home decor, etc. right now, and I love how they look cut from the gold glitter paper. The Aztec Print creates a bunch of dimension as a base on the Maggie Holmes patterned paper. This was fun to put together. I used a Winnie the Pooh quote on the bottom of the layout and some die cuts from Jen Hadfield Homemade.

Have an amazing day!!
