Hey everyone, I am finally back on my blog today and I am sharing a project I created for a Christmas card series over on my YouTube channel. Today is project #9 and I created this project using the Dashing Deer stamp and die set from My Favorite Things (one of my favorite companies). I love the images in this little set so much! This was purchased from Scrapbook Nerd online store.
To create this card, I added some Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen to the A2 card base which is Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. I love this paper so much and the ink just blends so nicely. I stamped out my images using my Misti tool and some Versafine ink in Onyx Black onto some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. Then I colored my images using some Faber Castell Polychromos. I chose these colored pencils because I just recently purchased them and was really excited to take them for a spin. Prismacolors would work just fine as well.
Once I finished the coloring, I die cut my little critters and added them to my card base, which I had previously embellished with a snow drift, some birch trees and a silver glittery frame. Then I just added some details with Wink of Stella, Nuvo drops and a sentiment. I have inlcuded a link to the process video and a list of supplies.
Here is a list of the supplies I used:
- Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock (Neenah is great too Neenah Paper – Classic Crest Solar White 80 lbs – 20 pack)

I am always trying to come up with fun ideas for stocking stuffers for my family at Christmas. I usually try to put something in that either I have made or my husband has made. He is a woodworker and has made some really cool things in the past like personalized cutting boards, clocks, etc. I can’t compete with that…or can I?? Lol…I think these cool little lip balm favors are pretty awesome and I think my kids will really love them. You might wonder if I am concerned they will see this blog and find out what they will have in their stocking…ummmmm, sadly I don’t think they read my blog 😉
I used the MFT Tall Tag Duo, Sending Smooches and Lip Balm dies/replenishments to create my fun little project today.

I love Halloween…always have. I love a good haunted house, creepy story or scary movie. When we were in Kingston this summer, we went on the Haunted Walk of Kingston tour. It was fun and was steeped in haunted house lore from one of Canada’s most historic little cities.
I wanted to document this experience and so when I was up on the JustNick team to do a layout for today, the timing was perfect to tell this story. I used the Spider Web 2 Background and the Scary Stuff cut files for my layout.
I offset the large spider web to the right, leaving room on the left for the large title. Using a large title is a great design for using up some white space on a layout. When you have a cool cut file for the title, it then becomes a sweet feature for the layout. I used two 3.5 square photos and bits and pieces from Doodlebug Boos and Brews collection to create the layout.

At some point, I blinked and my baby was turning 23…that is a little startling!! We celebrated her birthday together this year since I was in the city for a workshop and it landed on just the perfect date. It was nice to be with her for her birthday…that doesn’t always work out. Brady got her an icecream cake, so I snapped this photo in my layout of her with the cake.
I love the layout design with the center circle focal point. It just seems very pleasing to the eye and gives a great starting point for building a layout. I decided to cut the circle using my Cameo and then back the circle with the bow embossed vellum paper from Carousel (from Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes). I popped up the overlay over the vellum using some craft foam, then completed the layout using products from Carousel. Check out the video link below for all of the layout details!

Thanksgiving= family and food 🙂 That much I know to be true. My sweet sister and BIL invited Jordan and Paule to enjoy Thanksgiving with them. I was so grateful they could be together. My sister is an amazing cook…not even cook…chef! She snapped some photos and sent them to me, so of course I had to scrap them.
Here are some photos, a list of supplies and the process video!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! Have an amazing day!
Becki Adams and I are collaborating on a mini series called Captured Moments!! I am beyond excited to work with Becki…she is incredibly talented and sweet!
For our first project, we decided to create a gratitude themed project. I am scrapping two photos of Bailey and Brady that were taken as part of a photo shoot for their engagement. The photos are so sweet and I couldn’t wait to get them on a page.
I was inspired by a Bella Blvd. layout by Kaye Rogers…at least that is the best info I could find on the layout on Pinterest. I love the design of that layout and it worked well for the photo sized I wanted to use and the products I wanted to include. I am using Echo Park A Perfect Autumn. I have linked the collection in a supply list below. I love this collection!
If you purchase supplies through my affiliate links, I will earn a small commission with no additional cost to you. Thank you for supporting my blog!! I truly appreciate it!!

I really love to make cards! I find making a card very therapeutic–it takes a very short time to create a simple card (a little work of art) that you can give to someone and make their day. Little acts of kindness in a crazy world…that makes a big impact!! Today I am giving you a little look at cards I have made and a link to my most recent process. I also have a Christmas series on YouTube for the next month or two…we will see how it goes 🙂
I have a class over at Big Picture Classes called “Crazy Cards For Kids”. It’s a fun class sharing card making tips and tricks.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!! It’s a tough time to be super positive; however, it’s a great time to think about what we are thankful for…
I created this “gratitude” card for the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog using a free cut file designed by Nicole Nowosad (click the link to go to the free cut file download). I’m thinking today about all that I am grateful for! I hope you can, too!

There is something so very appealing to me about fall this year…I think it might be the result of a scorching hot prairie summer with little rain…or the fact that fall will bring winter, winter will bring Christmas and Christmas will bring my boy home to me again!! My layout today is about being thankful for having this lad in my life and for the knowledge that he has settled into his new home and seems to be happy. We miss him so much…I have to say I really understand how my mom used to miss my sister when she moved thousands of miles away. It is not a good feeling. But I am hoping it is temporary and we will savor our video chats and times together even more.
Now for the layout…I used the gorgeous Carta Bella “Hello Fall” collection on this layout. This is a stunning collection! Check out the beautful papers in the layout…the texture, colors and designs are just lovely.
I used a Tim Holtz mask on the kraft cardstock and some gold Color Shine to create the harlequin pattern on the background.
