Messin’ With Mixed Media

Creating projects like this in my mixed media art journals are the best of times for me as a crafter/artist.  I love the feeling of just complete freedom and enjoyment!  I hope you are inspired by this project to do some fun playing with your art supplies!

The book I am working in for this project is a Pentalic wirebound watercolor book with 140 pound cold pressed paper.  The book is 11×14.

I am using a variety of products including:

  • Liquitex gesso
  • Dina Wakley  heavy body acrylic paints (Lapis, Sky, Black, Red, Yellow)
  • Dylusions acrylic paints (Bubble Gum Pink, Brown, White)
  • Prima heavy body gesso in white and black
  • Golden fluid acrylics (Teal, Hansa Yellow Light)
  • A variety of stencils
  • Faber Castell gelatos
  • Stabillo pencil
  • Golden modeling paste
  • Dina Wakley Media Gel Medium (matte)
  • Liquitex heavy body acrylic paint (White)
  • Posca Paint Pen (Black)
  • Sharpie Paint Pen (White)
